Elberry Farm must be in one of the most idyllic locations in South Devon. Just up the lane from Broadsands Beach near Paignton, steam trains chugging over the huge stone bridge, and with Elberry Cove just five minutes' walk in the other direction.

The farm enjoys the perfect combination of countryside and seaside.

Elberry is a lovely family home; a big Victorian farmhouse, built the old- fashioned way: big rooms, big windows, and a splendid big staircase. Mandy and Michael Tooze have lived at the farm for 11 years, with their 3 children. Michael's parents lived at the farm for over 30 years before retiring. But, its still run in much the same way as all those years ago.

Mandy runs the bed and breakfast business and has upgraded the accommodation over the years, offering guests comfortable rooms with plenty of delicious home cooked food served in a relaxed and homely atmosphere. Cream teas are now served in the sunny walled in garden, a new venture only started last year.

Mandy is a very keen horsewoman and is often at horse shows as her children compete at the weekends.

Elberry Farm is mainly arable, beef cattle are reared on the land and there is also a small farm shop selling free ranged eggs, local honey and home produced vegetables. Michael is also a contractor so he does ploughing and baling for other farmers. During the summer Michael makes silage to feed his cattle for the winter, He also makes hay and straw to sell. During the winter months Michael supplies pheasant and game to local hotels and restaurants.
